Robert Husband
Dr.
Husband is the co-founder of the Aslan Group and a faculty
member in the Department of Speech Communication at the University
of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is recognized nationally
for his work on executive leadership and his expertise includes
coaching, conflict mediation, strategic planning, organizational
assessment, and effective communication strategies.
Bob holds degrees
from Central Michigan University, the University of Michigan,
Michigan State University, and the University of Illinois
at Urbana-Champaign, and has served as a faculty member and
Dean at two private colleges prior to coming to the University
of Illinois. He has received several teaching honors, including
campus teaching excellence recognition, Outstanding Teacher
of the Year, and Outstanding Educators of America. Bob and
his wife Judy live in Champaign, and he is an avid golfer.
Shirley Faughn
Dr.
Faughn is the co-founder of the Aslan Group and has over thirty
years of supervisory and training experience. She holds degrees
in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, and Education from
Murray State University and the University of Illinois at
Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Faughn serves as a consultant in the
areas of Leadership and Communication.
Dr. Faughn worked for several years in university teaching
and administration roles in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota
where she instructed university courses in Administration
and Managerial Communications. Shirley is the recipient of
several honors, including Outstanding Young Women of America,
Who's Who in Human Service Professionals, and a recipient
of the John E. Corbally Fellowship at the University of Illinois.
She lives in Champaign, IL and enjoys traveling, golfing,
and teaching ballroom dance.
Bill Kruidenier
Bill
Kruidenier is a Senior Consultant with the Aslan Group, and a Senior
Research Specialist at the Human-Environment Research Laboratory
at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
For over twenty years Bill has served in various local,
national, and international leadership and executive positions.
Bill directed an international organization that introduced
over 90 new educational programs and publications, and grew
tenfold. During this period he was
asked by the then Secretary of Agriculture to chair a national
council and serve in leadership positions on numerous other
national and international committees.
Bill
has extensive experience in strategic planning,
team-building, program analysis, and development.
He has also received several awards for his leadership and
professional contributions. He earned his M.A. at the University of Illinois, and resides in
Champaign, IL with his wife Jamie and twin sons Ryan and Jeremy.
Joshua Barbour
Joshua
Barbour is a Consultant with the Aslan Group and a faculty member at the University of Illinois in Chicago in the Department of Communication. His work has been published in academic and professional journals. He earned his M.A. and Ph.D. at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Organizational Communication with a concentration in Research Methods. He is the recipient of numerous awards including a field prize for his dissertation, a multilevel model of physicians’ reactions to managed care.
Josh has consulted with numerous private and public sector organizations and has directed survey design, implementation, and analysis. His research interests center on how institutions, organizational structure, and communication converge to create organizational life. Josh lives in Oak Park, IL with his wife Jennifer.
Brad Kolar
Brad Kolar is a Senior Consultant with the Aslan Group with over twenty years experience as a consultant and executive. Brad was formerly the Chief Learning Officer for the University of Chicago Medical Center and the director of Learning and Performance Strategy for the global consulting firm, Accenture. Brad is an expert at connecting organizational and individual development strategy and implementation. Brad received his M.S. in Computer Science from Northwestern University and his M.A. from the University of Illinois in Organizational Communication.
His areas of concentration include executive level leadership development, workforce development and productivity improvement, process redesign, and training and development in communication. innovation/creativity/critical thinking, and data analytics. Brad lives in Naperville, IL with his wife and two children.
